Currently Working On...
I am currently working on an editorial and/or gallery project about duality and people's perceptions. Here are some un-finished outtakes from my shoots with the first two subjects.

Vintage Maternity Shoot: Andrea
So recently one of my very best friends, Andrea (hubby Justin helped, too!) had a beautiful little baby girl, but right before she popped out we snapped a few pics of Andrea with the belly. Maternity is definitely not my specialty and I wanted to steer clear of trying to be something I'm not (no raised shirts or hands made into a heart shape here) but Andrea is such a chill bohemian at heart that it was so easy and fun to capture both her style and my aesthetic. Hope you enjoy!
We kept the styling simple and Southern with this Madras top with dark jeans, a little accent braid and a fresh face to show off that pregnancy glow.

Andrea rocked look two -- charcoal twill pants and a soft comfy tee in a heathery purple with a little hint of sexy in the eye make-up -- Hot Mama's are in!
I shot her from some non-traditional angles to give the photos a more natural yet editorial vibe.
And because Andrea is a 1960's girl at heart, we even threw in cool little lens flare.
Cheers-
Jude

Girlie Glam and GOLD!
Maybe it's because of the awesome tans everyone is rocking, maybe it's just because I'm styling a play set in the 1980's, or maybe it's my sub-conscience nod to the Olympics and that yummy Ryan Lochte. whatever it is, lately I have been really feeling the gold... Here are a few feminine yet "oh-so-cool" little details I've been lusting after lately. Go for the Gold!

Neon Summer
I know back-to-school is just around the corner for most, but I'm not ready at all for fall. I'm enjoying my bronze skin, river-floating trips, and late-night cookouts just a little too much to move on to fall looks. And since I'm in Arkansas, land of the perpetual summer (seriously, it's not fall till halloween, y'all), I am milking this hot weather for all it's worth.
One of my favorite things about summer is getting to wear hardly any shoes, I love shoes, I just don't love wearing them unless I have to. Most days you can find me barefoot, what can I say? I guess some Southern DNA has finally manifested. Anyway, if forced to wear shoes, I thank the heavens for flip flops.
My sister Jemimah b. who is all crafty and artsy too sent me a pair of the cutest converted flip-flops in this season's hottest color- Neon coral. The rope t-strap is super comfy and soft and washable too!
The best part is you can find these and many more super rad goodies at 20% off at her etsy store RIGHT NOW. Just use the coupon code July20 when placing your order!

Summer Stye Basics For Men: Cool and Casual
I live in the South, and for those who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing a Southern summer, let me tell you it gets hot. Real. Damn. Hot. and not just hot, muggy. In fact, the sweltering humidity and heat has already started for us who dwell bellow the Mason Dixon and that got me thinking about summer fashion for men. In all the Spring runway shows it seems the male models stomped the runway in multiple layers- shorts and a lenin jacket over a thin jersey hoodie over a nice tee and rounded off with deck boots - cute, but totally unrealistic for men who spend at least three months in 90º-115º weather.
When I went to find inspo for styling southern gents this season, I was appalled to realize that none of what I was finding would suit the kind of men I know. The looks that were coming out of catalogs and lookbooks were either too plain (a solid polo and twill shorts with nothing else? Spare me!) or two wild (palm tree print parachute pants and gauzy cowl-neck sweaters? I'm all for flare but it takes a certain character to rock a look like that!)
So all this week I'm going to feature Summer Style Basics for Men, think of it as Summer Swag 101- looks any guy can pull together and rock comfortably.

Just a note to all the girls reading this, I suggest doing what my friend Abby did and start a pinterest board for your man, so when you finally convince him he really does need new threads, you'll have some ideas to show him.
To get you started, check out more man-style on my style board for the fellas.
Hope this inspired you guys!
